Rooibos Shows promise in curbing diabetes

Currently, more than 300 million people have diabetes, known as the silent killer, affecting mainly those in low to medium income living situations. Researchers in South Africa have been looking at Rooibos extract and testing its effect on animals affected by diabetes. In their research, they have found encouraging results in which Rooibos has helped to control the insulin hormone.

This news is perhaps just the tip of the iceberg on Rooibos research and its effect on Diabetes. We will be keeping an eye out for more information as this research develops over the next few years. Having family members who have diabetes makes this news even more exciting, knowing just how many people have been affected by this disease. It really hits close to home.
