Liz Bandelin

History
In 2003 , Liz Bandelin founded Nu-Tea Company Ltd. the parent company of
Tega Tea.
It started with a deep, personal connection to South Africa, the country where Liz spent her childhood years. She has a passion for health and wellness and a strong desire to make a difference.
The international research on the benefits of Rooibos tea caught Liz’s attention at an opportune time in her life, and sparked her interest in sharing Africa’s premium quality organic herbal teas with North Americans.

See Our Vision for Africa.
Statement of Ethics
We commit ourselves to the highest ethical and professional conduct, while promoting fair trade and superior health to all communities. We work only with preferred suppliers who pay utmost attention to the welfare of their communities and environment. We will only supply products which are environmentally sustainable and support the health of our customers.
Social Involvement
All Tega Tea products are manufactured locally, using Rooibos from the Red Tea Farms in South Africa which support Fair Trade. Our supplier provides his workers with free housing, and education opportunities for their families. We pay premiums for our teas to have our products Fair Trade Certified by TransFair.
Our Tega brand is manufactured using GreenChoice 100 which is the first and only product of its type: it is made from 100% recycled fibres, is 100% recyclable, is 100% carbon neutral and purchases 100% clean renewable energy to offset energy used in its manufacture.
We support the Watoto foundation, and sponsor two orphaned African children living in poverty.
We encourage our customers and fans to join our Kiva Lending Team which supports small businesses around the world through micro- loans. As a small business, we understand the need for support and use our success to pay it forward.
